FAQs
All your doubts, resolved.
What advantages does an electric vehicle have over a combustion vehicle?
The main advantages of the electric vehicle compared to the combustion vehicle are the lower cost per kilometer and maintenance and the way power is delivered. In addition, in a social context, in which large cities suffer from episodes of high pollution, electric vehicles are freed from traffic restrictions and their benefits, from incentives such as purchase aid, lower traffic taxes, parking… makes them more convenient for customers.
How much maintenance cost does an electric motorcycle have?
The cost of maintenance is lower, approximately a third of the maintenance of a combustion vehicle due to that the electric vehicle does not need oil, filters, spark plugs, valves… Therefore, aside from periodic inspections, maintenance is reduced to the elements of wear (brakes, tires…).
On the other hand, electric vehicles have fewer components, so the possibility of failure is less, It makes them more robust and better withstand the passage of time.
Do the batteries have maintenance?
NUUK vehicles are equipped with the latest generation of smart batteries so, it can be affirmed that, in terms of battery durability, this is not a problem in spite of it is the only part that will suffer over the years. The useful life of the batteries is more than 10 years of charge and loses a maximum of 20% of its capacity, in addition, they have a 2-year guarantee included.
Where can I recharge the batteries?
NUUK vehicles have a in-board charger, in addition to a conventional plug, so that recharging can be done at any domestic electrical outlet.
On the other hand, in GEN model, the batteries are removable, so with an off-board charger they can be charged anywhere.
How is it best to charge the batteries?
The batteries are lithium-ion, which means that they have no memory effect. To extend the useful life of the batteries, it is recommended to charge the motorcycle batteries as often as possible, and avoid deep discharges, which will never be complete due to the existence of the internal protection reserve. This means that if the motorcycle batteries are charged after each use, regardless of the state of charge, the batteries will last longer in good condition.
It also has a programming system to protect the batteries and prevent them from suffering as much as possible due to improper use.
Can we leave NUUK electric vehicles unused for a long time?
The batteries incorporated by NUUK have an internal control system that allows them to be stored for long periods of time, as long as the traction battery (48 V) is charged between 40% – 60% of the total and the starter battery (12 V auxiliary battery, installed internally for low power electronics work), must be fully charged at the time of shutdown. Complying with these two requirements the NUUK batteries will continue to be 100% operational when restarting them after a while.

What are the differences between electric mopeds and motorcycles?
Power, driving age, equivalent displacement…
The electric moped has up to 4kW of power and a maximum speed of 45 km/h. The vehicle will have a yellow license plate and can be driven from 15 years of age, with an AM permit or higher. It belongs to the L1e-B category and its equivalent in combustion is the displacement of 50 cc.
The electric motorcycle has up to 11kW of power. The vehicle will have a white license plate and can be driven from 16 years of age, with an A1 license or higher. It belongs to the L3e-A1 category and its equivalent in combustion is the displacement of 125 cc.
The GEN model in its Urban, Tracker and Cargo versions are available for both categories, 4kW moped and 8.5kW electric motorcycle, and the CARGOPRO Delivery model is available in a 6 kW motorcycle.
